PRESENTATION - HOW I WORK
To me art is a passion since childhood.
My teachers showed my feeling in the search image and mastery of painting technique and composition.
The choice of composition, color, contrasts make every portrait "unique", a tale that begins to write the artist and ends with the imagination of the viewer.
I make Portraits and other works starting from photo, with different techniques: oil painting, watercolor and drawing (on monochrome or colored pencils).
I choose and share final composition with you, throughout different composition studies on Pc, giving suggestions on exposures, techniques and sizes.
If you only have one photo of your subject or incomplete photos, there is no problem. I can consider and carry out various customizations: composition of several photos, taking also different subjects from more than one photo, detail integration/modification, background changes or addition etc.
Work guarantee: in order to satisfy your liking, I will email you photos of my work during the different progress steps. I will deliver only when you are satisfied of the result.

Photo choice
I evaluate your initial photos.
If you have got only one photo of your subject or incomplete photos, there's no problem, I can consider and carry out various
customizations: : composition of several photos, taking also different subjects from more than one photo, detail integration/modification, background changes or addition etc. |

Computer added pre-analysis
Using the computer, I make analysis and composition studies of your available photos, taking into account the subjects and the size of the work. I give you suggestions about exposures, techniques and canvas sizes. I share with you the final composition.

The drawing on canvas
I choose the fairest background for subject colors and paint the first color layer on the canvas.I make a detailed drawing of the subject using pencils directly on canvas. I then fix it in order to avoid color mixtures in next work steps.Finally, I can start to paint with oils.

Color: initial and intermediate color layers
In order to have real and deep skin colors, I paint in several consecutive layers, waiting until it becomes dry between them. At first, I define mass and volume, color relations and tone proportion. In the intermediate layers, the color becomes real. This is the longest and most important phase, in which face and hair are defined with increasing strength.

Color: final layer
Final painting layers give depth to the picture, that increases in particulars together with lights and shadows.
Final details
The last step is related to final details: I evaluate and realize final lights, from face to hair and bust, I balance background color, in order to emphasize the subject and make him the main character: the painting is ready. |
